Well I finally got the ok to go back to work. I'm glad because this leisure stuff can get kind of boring. It sure feels nice to have no pain, and I'll be glad when I can just get up and walk without thinking twice about it. I went out and worked in my flower beds last Saturday and enjoyed it. Then I got on my bike and took a spin aroun the church parking lot & then Mike got out my 4-wheeler and I got on it and rode around to see if I could. What a fun day!!! To do all that and not feel pain. (Just some post surgery stuff) AWESOME!!! The weather is sure great now. It's fun to be outside.
My dad is taking a trip! I am excited for him. He is flying down to St. George this Friday for a family reunion of his cousins. Then he'll head home on Tuesday. I think this is good. He has had a long, lonely winter.
I am looking forward to going to Idaho this August to the family reunion. It is always so nice to see family. That is one reason I love our monthly party's. I love to be around the kids and grandkids. I am a blessed woman. I live and abundant life!

What a blast that trip was!!

On the road to recovery
Well It's been three weeks since my surgery, and I can't believe how fast I am recovering. I have to take it easy on the left leg and be careful to not overdo it, but I'm getting along pretty well. I went and worked a little yeasterday and did some Relief Society work. It wore me out. The only thing I can't get fixed is my ability to sleep at night. I'm really messed up right now. I'll be really tired and think that "Tonight I"ll sleep." But I don't. Anybody have a good idea. If I take even one tylenol p.m. it knocks me out for half of the next day! help!!!!

Come Wednesday Morning!
Well it would seem I need to be doing a little repenting about my blog. Auralee thought her life was crazy, but I must say I think I am busier now than when the kids were at home! It was fun to read the reflections in the girls blogs. I got engaged to Mike 40 years ago on Feb. 11 and on Sep. 11 will have been married 40 years. My how time flies. Good times, bad times, but always times of learning and growing. Mike is a good companion to grow old with. He has been very helpful to me as my hip has worsened and is supportive of the surgery I will be having this next Wednesday. I just want to say how much I love all my family. What a blessing you are in my life. God bless you all.

Happy New Year!!!!
What a great year I am looking forward to. I'll have two sons-in-law graduate with a masters degree and a medical degree. I'm very proud of both of them. I'll have another daugher entering her nursing program and one who deserves a degree just for supporting her Doctor husband for the last 9 years!!! I am equally proud of the new teacher in our clan and her husband with his growing business. I have 7 wonderful grandchildren and a good husband who works very hard. I love what I do and as you can tell, I am just very grateful for my life and the blessings that are mine. Christmas was great and now I think things should start to slow down a little bit. NOOOOT. good luck to all and have a good year.
